I used hi5 4 years ago with yahoo account. Atthezoo3 just sent friend request through hi5 to my new google account. In what ways could this have happened?

Probably hi5 lets its members "invite friends". Some even provide facilities to enter their google/yahoo/hotmail email account and password, and they will go through their contact lists and invite everyone on there.
