How long is the RN to BSN program?

  • Answer:

The length of a registered nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) degree program varies by school. Generally, these programs allow nurses with valid RN licenses to earn a BSN in a shorter amount of time than a traditional four-year program would require. Such programs often last about two years.References:http://www.rntobsnprograms.com/

Yes, I agree with the answer by Hayley Harrison and think it would depend on the individual school. Right now I’m in my last few months of the RN to BSN online from Unitek College and their program lasts 18 months. I have heard of schools offering programs last about 18 months and other 2 years so this might be something you want to actually call the school to verify. I think it also depends on how dedicated you are, you can’t just sign up and take the lessons every few weeks, you really have to set a schedule dedicating a time either daily or every other day to your lessons or you won’t complete it within 18 months.
