Do you think Google Earth leaves certain images out of its satellite map of the world? I know of one example.

I worked on a pretty major building project through the winter of '06 and early '07. The owner of the bldg and the function of the place was pretty confidential. It was a federally funded project called "Project Buckeye" (it was in Ohio). The coordinates of the pretty massive building are 40°13'27.14" N, 83°02'29.53" W. Google Earth just shows a pretty sizeable amount of what looks to be cleared space. And to the south, it shows a little drive way that just...dead ends. This was a 300'x300' building with embankments all the way around so it couldn't be seen from the road. It was a monster. 2 70,000 gallon tanks of diesel for back up power. An Electrical substation on the SE corner of the site. A sizeable parking lot on the south end (where the road terminates on Google Earth). It was a concrete fortress. 6 to 8" floor slabs minimum. Precase concrete columns, beams etc. Double-slab with normal and lightweight concrete for the roof...this building could sustain a missile attack is what they told me.

There are 100's left out - and that may just be here in the U.S. mainly military sites, Area 51, sensitive bases camps; along the seaboards where our Submarines come and go. and the same for other Countries ...I tried looking 'into' N. Korea to see their concentration camps (where most of their population is) and it was 'blurred-out'. Same for area 51, Oh, and missile silos for i.c.b.m.'s. The list is long... Good Q.

Yeah, it does around some nuclear power plants.

I think you just invited the NSA around for a deep-and-meaningful. Buckeye is officially a wind-power project, but it sounds like it's a bit more complicated.
Artful Bodger
It sure does. I know of many where the difinition has been reduced and there are others where it is just blanked.

Yes at times due to governmental restrictions of one sort or another certain images on earth and the moon are considered classified information therefore will not be made public at this point in tume.
