Is there a directory of Made In America items - small appliances, tools, clothes, household items - so I can stop sending money to China?

to buy things made in america you will get higher prices and lower quality over all. Yes, many products used in america are made in China or Japan or maylaza mexico and many other countries so what? If they are better products and cost less then why not? Some of you yell about child labor. well there was child labor in the usa until the diddy do gooders made it against the law. At that time there was lots of reasons why kids worked then rather than sitting in front of some TV or computer game eating candy and twinkeys fat lazy and not worth a damn. Can't mow the lawn because it is too dangerous for them to touch a lawn mower and they are too lazy as well. They would rather puff on their marijuana cigarettes, that is a close to grass as they ever want to get. Made in the usa my ass. even if you buy a ford or chevy or chrysler half the stuff in it is made in another country. Why I would bet the computer you are using is made in another country than the usa and if not most of the circuit boards, mother board, drives, etc are made in Japan or China. About the only way you will get something entirely made in the usa is if you go chop down some trees and make yourself a log cabin. but then the saws, hammers, nails etc were probably made in another country. Give up on this made in america crap it just aint gonna happen anymore. When I buy something I don't care where it is made I care that it works well, doesn't cost an extra arm and leg.

My concern about buying foreign-made items is that it's supporting companies who exploit people who will fork for those crappy wages in a horrible and potentially dangerous work environment and receive poor treatment from supervisors. I wouldn't mind buying foreign-made items if I knew that whoever made it was probably able to feed their family and got treated as a human being at their job.

Look for"Made in USA" on the product itself. Craftsman tools for 1 is,Snap on is another higher end tool,Kaydee is lifetime warranty also.Also ask questions when you buy things,a fridge can be made in USA but compressor assembeled in mexico or somewhere.Great consumer descission.
