Are your behavioral strategies dominated by expediency or sustainability?

• The process of bridging our intentions into tangible outcomes requires employment of methodologies capable of achieving those desired outcomes. Over time, we discover and repeatedly employ methodologies that have proven successful for us in the past. The repertoire of our selected methodologies become our base of behavioral strategies. Those behavioral strategies that expedite the process of achieving outcomes invariably violate eternal guiding principles (i.e., honesty, justice, sustainability, tolerance, non-aggression, et cetera). Such expediencies, although appearing to be more powerful, will eventually lose their effectiveness as the attrition associated with their non-sustainable nature reaches a critical point. That process of attrition may occur rapidly, such as with a Pyrrhic victory, or more slowly such as the resource exploitation employed by Western civilizations. Communal strategies are dominated by personal behaviors, which in turn are strongly influenced by communal behaviors defined by cultural norms. If you recorded your behavioral strategies on the continuum from Expedient (instantaneous gratification) to sustainable (eternally reproducible results), where would the bulk of your strategies appear?
