FOX&Friends: War on Halloween Christians:Halloween is demonic Will the far righters be confused? Is it all-American or evil? You decide?
-
As a Christian website puts it, “Halloween is based upon modern Wiccan interpretations of pre-Christian paganism and involve occultic rites and practices that Christians should have no dealings with.” “Halloween is Satan’s night,” Pat Robertson concurs. “It’s the night for the devil.” But... now Fox & Friends is defending Halloween as a force for all-American good. Because the real demons, F&F has decided, are immigrants and the politically correct elementary schools doing their bidding by cutting back on Halloween festivities. “It’s an all-out assault on Halloween!” Brian Kilmeade opened the segment last week. “Schools across the country are doing everything from banning costumes to even removing the holiday because it may offend immigrants.” “I’m just sad,” said Gretchen Carlson, “because I have two little kids, and I’m wondering if they’re not going to ever see the American traditions that all of us had.” http://www.thenation.com/blog/164271/war-halloween-trick-or-treat-conservatives

Answer:
“Halloween is based upon modern Wiccan interpretations of pre-Christian paganism and involve occultic rites and practices that Christians should have no dealings with.” Well they are wrong there.... Pagans didn't have commercial enterprise, pushing a holiday in order to sell stuff to consumers. AND THAT is what Halloween and Christmas is really all about - commercialism. and Modern Christians being all for unregulated capitalism are thus all for commercialism, thus Halloween is, by its modern design, a very christian holiday. Happy Howl-ooo-weeeen!

They are right you know, Wiccans are the ones who orgininated the practice of dressing children up like Zombies and asking strangers for candy. It's true, I read it on Wikipedia.

This really makes me angry, the type of anger that I I don't know how to properly vent. To hell with the immigrants if they are not willing to respect our traditions, and to hell with the school administrators who puss out and ban halloween. People are so afraid of offending groups who have their panties in a bunch. Just look at what these types of people are into, usually boring religious traditions that add no real flavor to American culture. They want to live a uniform life where everyone else has to change for them to feel comfortable, otherwise they complain. They can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. Whatever happened to tolerance? We seem to go overboard with it serving these types of scum bags at the expense of our own justified ways of life, while these pricks have no tolerance of their own. These trashy people should either grow up and suck it up, get the f--k out of this country or drop dead. America doesn't have room for this type of human garbage. Halloween is a very exciting holiday for all kids who don't have shitty parents and even for many adults. Its here to stay whether people like it or not. America needs to stop throwing away its greatness.

There was a great show on the history channel about the origins of halloween. It was actually started by the church and was the eve before all saints day which was considered a hollowed day. It was hallowed eve and became halloween. the tradition of going door to door solisiting goodies also came from the church.

Kids can dress up and go Trick 'r' Treating after school. School is learning time. Just because Americans like Halloween doesn't mean that Halloween is American. I like Halloween too. As far as it being a pagan holiday, so are all the Christian holidays. All these people ever do is complain. Shut up and eat your candy, people. Or don't eat candy, it's up to you. Well, that's all I've got to say about that. Thanks for the link, Wynper.
