Quality control must be quite lax, because I received a set of 1157 and a set of 1156. Since the rear lamps on our bikes accept 1156 type bulbs, I got to try them both. They would work well for backup lights on a garden tractor or special projects. They do NOT work well as tail/brake in a vehicle/trailer that uses a red lense because not much light makes it through the lense.
