I think it's because not only do they make games out of asking questions but the games are different each time. It keeps children engaged. I played with it a little to gauge the difficulty. It does get more challenging. But, what's best is that it starts out very easy and hooks the child in, then it gets more challenging. When going through the levels I saw the kinds of questions kids see on IQ or other intellect rating type tests. This is great to acclimate children to the types of questions they'll see on those tests and give them an advantage on being able to answer them correctly. This is better than a workbook for our child as she's had her fill of workbooks and it's difficult to get her to complete them whereas she's asking to do this program.
