In a way, it would be kind of cool to be able to read minds because we could know how someone really feels about us - whether they really love us or not and what their true intentions are. On the downside of that, it would take all of the fun, mystery, intrigue, etc. out of relationships. I think life would be quite boring if we could read minds. However, when you really get to know someone and are very close to them you sometimes will know what they are thinking about something before they even tell you. That is only because you know what their likes and dislikes are because you have known them for a while and/or you are very closely connected.
