How do you unblock someone on gmail?

How to Unblock Someone on Gmail

  • Answer:

When you use Google's free email service Gmail to exchange emails with other Gmail users, those users are placed in your Contact List, and can chat with you via Gchat if you are both online. As with other chat services, you can block contacts you don't want to chat with, preventing them from seeing you while online or contacting you. If you want to unblock a blocked content, you can do so via Gmail's Chat search box. Difficulty: Easy Instructions Point your browser to the Gmail site (gmail.com) and log in with your username and password, if you haven't already. Start typing the name or email address of the contact you'd like to unblock in the "Search, add or invite" box above "Chat" in the left panel. As you type, a list of contacts matching what you've typed so far will appear below the box. You don't have to type a whole name -- once you see the contact you want to unblock, you can stop. Move your cursor over the contact's name and a pop-up window containing several options will appear to the right, including "Block," which will have a checkmark next to it. Click "Block" to remove the checkmark and unblock the contact. If "Block" isn't checked but the contact still doesn't appear in your chat list and you want it to, click "Show in chat list" to force the contact's inclusion.
