Google Docs allows you to create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms online. You can then share these documents across the Internet with friends and colleagues, who can collaborate with you to improve or add to your document. When copying information into Google Docs from an email or website, you may inadvertently copy text along with HTML tags. You must strip out the HTML tags within the document to clean up your text. Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions Open your browser. Visit the Google Docs website. Select the "Create new" button and select "Document." Paste or type all of your text into the document. Select "Edit" from the menu. Click the "Select all" option. Select "Format" from the menu and click the "Clear formatting" option to strip out all of the HTML tags.
