How do I get max power out of my amp?

If I have a 12' Boss subwoofer that runs at 1150w rms, and it's max power is 2300, what amp should I get so the speaker is at it's max potential?

  • Answer:

My advice to you would be to make sure to buy a class d mono amp that will put out something in the 1000 rms watt range at 2 ohms. A couple of the not so extremely expenive brands that are often recommended on the audio forums are sundown audio and audioque. The SAZ-1500D (sundown) and AQ2200D would probably be a good fit.
