  The Florida Institute of Technology hosts many summer camps for youth on its campus in Melbourne, Fla. The earliest camps, including a Chinese language program, start in May, but the majority of the camps are offered in June and July. Fees and participation requirements vary according to the camp. Sport Camps Florida Tech Sports plays host to majority of summer camps at the university. Traditional sport camp offerings include boys and girls basketball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and several types of volleyball. The university also hosts an all-sports water camp, designed to teach swimming along with other sports, a snorkeling camp, and a week-long agility, speed and fitness camp for boys and girls. Academic Camps Florida Institute of Technology offers several camps specialized to students' interests and career aspirations.
