How can I use my second HDD as just storage?

Multimedia player that supports ide 133 hdd storage capacity up to 500gb can you use a 500gb eide hard drive with interface eide 100 mb?

    ATA133 is slightly faster but it's nothing you'd notice much because it's referring to burst data transfer rates, not sustained. You can use either ATA100 or ATA133 hard drives in your computer, but not all motherboards chipsets support ATA133. If your motherboard supports only ATA100 and you install a ATA133 hard drive, it'll just run at ATA100 speeds.
