  You cannot retrieve your passport number online. This is due to security reasons. Your best option is to contact the State Department or one of your local Congress representatives to get in touch with someone who can help you get a new passport/retrieve an old one. Go to you local passport office with your certified birth certificate [and a parent if you are underage ] and all the info you can remember. Report the loss ASAP so the lost one can be nullified . You will still have to pay the fee and supply another photo .But reporting the loss is a serious security issue, someone may be using your identity right now. Call all you credit card companies and bank as well. -- Contact your congresman?!? Don't do that. It's a dumb idea... Just call the national passport office @ 1-877-487-2778 or call a passport expediting company.
