How can I stop my shoes from squeaking?

How do I make my shoes stop squeaking?

• I'm wearing a pair of Borns Staleys. I love them, very comfy! The only problem is that they squeak on the floors at work. I'm guessing due to the cleaners/varnishes that they use here on the high traffic linoleum floors. Any suggestions on how to get these shoes to stop? The shoes are a leather upper with a textured polyurethane outsole.   This is funny bc i was sitting here (haven't changed the channel since my daughter went off to school) watching the episode of spongebob were he wore the squeaky boots and it got me thinking of my husbands jordans that my brother in law gave to him (because they squeaked..lol) and instantly wondered if i googled it could i find a way to fix it? This is the first link that came up .. i read a few stories and then decided to try it myself and wouldn't you know.. IT WORKED!! I rubbed lotion across the bottom of the shoes and then pulled up the inserts inside the shoe and rubbed lotion all the way up and down the shoes and pushed the insert back down.. both shoes that once squeaked are now silent :) thank you!
