Where are ice skating rinks?

Where are the ice skating rinks in South Africa?

  • Answer:

There are at least two operating ice rinks in Johannesburg: 1. Northgate Shopping Centre, in Johannesburg's northern suburbs, with open skating daily between 10h00-17h00 and 19h30-22h30 2. Kempton Park, where an informal hockey league meets regularly There used to be an ice rink called Horizonview on the West Rand in Roodepoort - don't know if it's still operating. In the 80's there was an ice rink on the top of the Carlton Centre, called the Carlton Sky Rink. It has been closed for many years. At least one ice rink is still operating in Cape Town. Durban had an ice rink at a complex called Ocean City, near north beach. Don't know if this is still operating.
