What is a good vacation place within the US?

  • I'm looking for somewhere with a beach that won't cost too much to fly to. I am planning it for the second week of July. Our previous plans fell through. I've already looked at Hawaii and the plane tickets are too expensive right now.

    One of the most beautiful regions in the United States (excluding Alaska) is the Four Corners region of the American Southwest. The national and state parks in this area are stupendous (the Grand Canyon is just a few hours away from St. George, UT). St. George is central to some of the most spectacular terrain in the country. I assume you would fly into Los Angeles and then take a flight from LA to either St. George airport or Salt Lake City. Also, in Moab, UT is Best Friends Animal Shelter, one of the largest no-kill sanctuaries in the world. It was founded by men and women from Great Britain in the 1980s. Lana, Salt Lake City, UT
