Are you seeing more and more people lose jobs in your neighborhood?

Kind of curious as to if anyone is seeing larger number of people losing their jobs, or people who used to have good jobs have to "downgrade" their jobs. I've seen it happen with my father, and just happened to my brother so I thought I'd ask here.

Yes, I have. I've been trying to keep track of some of the places (the few and far between) that are still hiring. The only one I know of right now is Advanced Auto Parts.... Good luck to everyone :( Tough Times.

Yes I have known a few people that recently lost their jobs from their employer downsizing. They have been forced to take a new job that only pays them about 60% of what they were making before they lost their job. It's very sad and no one has a safe job in my opionionn. If anyone is looking for part time work or full time work. Gpc is hiring. With gas prices so out of control. It has been really tough.
