Has anyone been prescribed phentermine? And how did it work for you?

Hi everyone! I'm a morbidly obese female, weighing around 205 and I'm 4 foot 11 inches. I've been on many diet pills, prescribed and over the counter and I've been on many weight loss programs including Nutrisystem (which I recommend), jenny Craig, healthy start, south beach, weight watchers and much much more. Anyways, I recently talked myself into trying to lose weight one last time because I don't want Barbaric surgery. Well I kind of do, but I would rather lose the weight on my own. My doctor talked to me about something called Adipex and then prescribed me something called Phentermine. I want to know from people who has used this or know of someone who has. My goal weight is 120 pounds and so I'm hoping to lose about 80 pounds total. How much weight can I lose on Phentermine 37.5? How effective is it? Any advice, tips or tricks? Are their any side effects I should look out for? Does this prescription have a long life span or a short one? Anything you tell me will be very HELPFUL!
