Aren't shasta daisies supposed to bloom all summer long? How much do I cut back to get them to bloom again?
-
After a bloom, I cut back the plant, but it didn't bloom again. I cut off about 6 inches of a total 18 for the whole plant. Did I do something wrong? I noticed last year they bloomed once. I didn't cut them back, but this spring I dug them up and put them into a more sunny area. It was touch and go with death, but the shock wore off about 3 days later and they eventually bloomed. How much do I cut back to get them to bloom again?

Answer:
I have a question about my shasta daisies-they bloomed beautifully this year(this is there 2nd yr) we did cut them down in the spring but they got so big this year that they started splitting and they fell over with the rain. They still have lots of flowers on them and I'm not sure what to do,should I just cut them down or stake them?
