What does "never go with a hippie to a second location" mean?

What do you do when you go camping?

  • The spouse and I were grilling the first dinner of the season tonight when he said, "If we go camping this summer, I think I'd like to cook stuff over the campfire." Aside from some festivals, I've never camped. I get the idea of packing into the woods and setting up, but... "What do you do there, when you're camping?" I asked. "I mean, there are no workshops, no concerts, not even other people to sit around camp and shoot the bull with. What do you do?" He had a kind of far-away look. "Well, you can look at the birds around you, you can enjoy the trees... you know. Sometimes it's just nice to get out of the city." "So, you sit there." "Yeah," he said. Folks, can you help me? Is this a true description of camping? You go there, pitch a tent, and "sit there looking at birds and trees?" Don't you go nuts after about half an hour, max? And if this isn't true, what are the things you do when you're camping? I'm a tree-hugging hippie kind of gal, but I just don't _get_ it.

  • Answer:

Camping is a lot of fun you just need to find the right park to camp in. There is an app i use called Pocket Ranger that helps me narrow down my camping options by activities i like. For example if i want to campin, fish and hike i filter my search by that. Also, sinc ei like to hike i downloaded the pro version of Pocket Ranger and it allows me to GPS my location without needing cell service so that i can never get lost in the hills!
