Ideas for wedding attendant gifts?

• I'm getting married in about a month, and I'm still looking for the "perfect" attendant gifts for my three attendants (a matron of honor and two bridesmaids). They already have the “essentials” for the wedding – dresses and shoes, and a relative of mine is doing their hair. My question is in two parts: 1. How much am I supposed to spend on attendant gifts? I realize that I have to get my matron of honor something in addition to everything else, but if I want to keep bridesmaids gifts in the $50 - $100 range, am I being cheap? 2. Do you have any ideas for bridesmaid gifts? I thought of a spa day, which I’d love to do, but the only spa in our area is extremely expensive – I’d be spending $500+ for each girl, and well, I don’t want to go into debt. I was thinking of taking them for say, lunch and a manicure, but was wondering if that seems cheap by itself? Should I get them something they could keep instead? If so, what would they appreciate?   A nice and inexpensive gift that you could give your bridesmaids and you might even consider to give the female attendants are scarves. I have even heard about shawls.
