I need to buy a air purifier. What is the best buy for someone who has allergies?

    well, it is hard to give a "best" as they all have different features, capabilites and price points. for allergies, the important thing is to make sure you get a "true" hepa purifier. this type of filtration gets the smallest allergens, so don't skimp when it comes to this. carbon is mostly for smells (and other gases), ionizers may help some to clump allergens or irritants but are not as crucial or helpful as having a quality hepa filter in a purifier that is sealed properly and is capable of moving enough air (make sure to get the square footage of the space to be cleaned)
