How can I create a photo collage?

How to create a Photo Collage using PowerPoint

  • Answer:

If a picture's worth 1,000 words, then a collage has a lot to say. Collages are collections of pictures stacked on top of one another, typically in an informal fashion. While there are several photo editing programs that allow you to create collages, you can also create one using Microsoft PowerPoint (a program typically used for presentations). After creating a collage in PowerPoint, you can save the file in .jpg format, allowing you to use it in emails, post it on social networking sites or print it off to keep. Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions Open Microsoft PowerPoint. Click the "Home" tab located at the top of the window. Click "Layout" located in the sub-menu of the "Home" tab (also near the top of the page). Select "Blank" from the drop-down menu. Your slide will now be a solid blank page. Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the page. Click the "Pictures" icon from the "Insert" tab sub-menu. A pop-up dialog box will appear. Browse to the folder where you've stored your pictures. Select any and all pictures that you want to add to your collage, and click "Open." Click and drag your pictures to arrange them. Click a picture once to highlight it, then click the "Format" tab at the top of the page to make one picture rest on top of another. Click "Bring to the Front" near the top of the page. Click and drag the green dots on the outer edge of the picture to resize an image. Drag and pull a dot in the corner to resize the entire picture, or grab and pull a dot in the middle of an edge to make the picture wider or taller. Click "File," followed by "Save As" to save your collage as a single image. Name your collage whatever you want, and choose a destination folder. Click the drop-down menu next to "Save As Type" and choose ".JPEG." This will ensure that you can open your collage in most programs and view it on most websites. Tips & Warnings Tip: Give yourself a few days to make your collage. Save it for a night or two and review the following days to make sure you still like it. Rearrange it until you're completely satisfied.
