What is the bigest motor for a t-max?

20 year old Toyota pick up truck what is the bigest and strongest motor you could put in it and what would it cost afordable motors noting over 5000?

  i know of alot of ppl that put a Chevy 350 in toyotas. there are many swap kit's available for it online. SB Chevy is a great motor BUT, you will find it easier to put in a SB Ford. For starters, the motor is not as wide as a SB Chevy, so it fits in the engine compartment without cutting anything and another big plus is that the distrubutor is in the front of the motor. GM is in the back and you can create firewall/distrubutor issues that can be the worst nightmare as far as cracked caps go, from the torque of the engine and no firewall clearance. Another tip, do not hop up the engine and your tranny and driveline and rearend will thank you. You might want to put some traction bars on your wish list, to keep the rearend pointing in the correct directioin.
