How do you open the bonnet of a suzuki swift?

Hi when looking under the bonnet of your suzuki sj there is a cut out in what you think is the gearbox which you can see what you think is the flywheel spinning is there supposed to be a bung in there?

  • Answer:

already answered the 1st time question was posted...yes, there should be a rubber bung for it. The hole is to let you use a timing light to time your engine off the flywheel. Most Samurai's I used to own or work on were missing this, it isn't a big deal. Stick some duct tape over the hole to keep out big chunks of dirt or mud if you like. I doub you could buy these anywhere, although you might be able to come up with an alternative if you poke around junkyards a bit...
