  To catch a keeper sized grouper around the skyway you will need a minimum of 20lb test main line with a 30 to 40lb leader line. Personally i use 40lb braided line tied to a 50lb leader. For your rod you will need something pretty beefy, it should be rated to handle the 40lb line u are using.
