Answer:
HP/Palm Pixi smartphone battery life depends on how you use your phone. If you run apps, especially those that access the Internet, or have a long phone conversation, you may notice the battery level on your device decreasing at a rapid speed. Fortunately, there are several different settings you can adjust on HP/Palm Pixi phones that will maximize the battery life if you do not find the default settings to be battery efficient. Difficulty: Easy Instructions Turn Down Screen Brightness Turn on your phone and unlock it by dragging up the lock icon on the touch screen. Tap the "Launcher" icon in the bottom right corner of the HP/Palm Pixi home screen. It is designated by an icon of an upward pointing arrow. Tap the icon for "Screen & Lock" on the touchscreen. Drag the slider bar under "Brightness" to the left until your phone is just bright enough to see. Tap the "Gesture Area" on the HP/Palm Pixi. Close the "Screen & Lock" card by sliding your finger upward on the touchscreen. Email Settings Tap the "Email" icon at the bottom of the HP/Palm Pixi home screen. It is designated by a small image of an envelope. Tap the "Email" button in the top left corner of the touchscreen. Select "Preferences & Accounts." Select your default e-mail account under the "Accounts" heading. Scroll down to the "Sync" heading, and tap on the selection that says "Get Email." Select a time that is more than 15 minutes from the choices that appear. Tap the "Gesture Area" on the HP/Palm Pixi. Close the "Email" card by sliding your finger upward on the touch screen. Turn off GPS Turn on your phone and unlock it by dragging up the lock icon on the touch screen. Tap the "Launcher" icon in the bottom right corner of the HP/Palm Pixi home screen. Tap the "Location Services" icon. Press the "On/Off" toggle switches for "Auto Locate," "Geotag Photos" and "Background Data Collection." Tap the "Gesture Area" on the HP/Palm Pixi. Close the "Location Services" card by sliding your finger upward on the touchscreen. Tips & Warnings Tip: Avoid running apps that access the Internet or 3D games when low on battery. Sign out of any instant messaging accounts you have activated on the "Messaging" app on your HP/Palm Pixi. When signed into AIM or Google Chat on the device, the battery will drain very quickly. Tip: When out of service area, your battery life will shorten if the phone is searching for a signal. To prevent this, hold down the power button and select "Airplane Mode" on the touch screen. This will put your HP/Palm Pixi in a low-power mode where calls will be sent directly to voice mail and text messages will not be received. Warning: You may need to turn the GPS on your phone back on to use some apps.
