Assuming your into fantasy, These are pretty good Action Books: The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, The Wheel of Time by Jordan Robert and Codex Alera by Jim Butcher Action+Romance: The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima, and Threat from the Sea by MelOdom Action+Mystery: Storm Front by Jim Butcher, Something from the Nightside by Simon Green Most of these are kinda big though, 1000-350 pages long Some shorter ones are: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter and Webmage by Kelly McCullough Hope you like them!
