How do you remove the rear speakers on a 2001 Chevy Silverado?

  I had the same inquery as you. I searched all over and couldn't find anything so i decided to try myself. It really isn't that complicated. But first, are you talking about a 4 door extended cab pickup or a regular cab? Because i have done it with my 2001, 4 door extended cab. I'll go ahead and explain since its not that hard. This is for the passenger side rear door. The driver side will just be a mirror image of this. First off, you'll see two screws in the cup holder portion of the door panel. Remove both of them. Next, pop out the little trim piece around the door handle. It just snaps free and slides up and off the handle. After that it is just popping your entire door panel free. I started up at the top right above the window. There are metal clips that are attached to your door panel that snap into slots in the door itself all around the edges of the door panel. You may need something to pry the panel away from the door to pop them free. I used a screw driver and a cloth to make sure i didn't mess up the paint when prying against the door frame. There are two clips right above the window, two clips beside the window (on the right hand side of the window. Working our way clockwise from the top) then one clip in line with the arm rest/cup holder (again right hand side I'm referring too) and two clips below arm rest/cup holder. Then i went back to the left hand top side of the panel. These clips were a little bigger and required a little more force to pop free. There were two of them above the door handle and two below the door handle. Once you have them popped out your panel should be free! To remove the speaker you just push in the clip on the left hand side of the speaker toward the speaker itself and pull out. Disconect the little wiring clip and your speaker will be removed!
