  I'm presuming that your '02 is similar or identical to my '96 and has the headlight switch, the turn signal switch, dimmer switch and cruise (or in your case, NOT) all on the same stalk. I changed mine out a while back. It's not really too terrible. I had to remove the housing around the steering column (two long, deeply seated Torx screws) to get at the stalk. If memory serves, it came off with only two screws. There are electrical connectors on the back of the assembly. You'll want to unplug them, naturally, but before you do, take note of where they "live". If you get them misplaced when you put in the new stalk, it will be difficult or impossible to get it seated correctly. The stalk was about a $60 part at Auto Zone when I did mine. The whole job should take you about 30 to 40 minutes if all goes well.
