In a 1997 Chrysler LHS the radio lights up tunes but makes no sound and swapping the radio gives the same result I was told it was a bad amplifier - where is it?

Answer:
in the trunk to the left wall you have to remove the carpeting and you will see the amplifier Also be sure to check the AMP fuse for the 97 which is seperate from the radio fuse. I found this out recently when my AMP went out. It shares the same fuse as the cigeratte lighter.
