Flip books?

Advice creating flash Flip books for computer browsers and mobile devices (tablets, phones...)

• I want to find a software (or method) of achieving the following: Be able to create a Flip Book from a pdf file Be able to embed multimedia content (audio, streamed video, swf) in the pages The resulting project should work in every (or most) computer internet browser and mobile devices (android tablets and phones, iPad, iPhone...) I've done a lot of research already, but I can't seem to find a good solution for this. I've tried a lot of those Flip book creator softwares. Some of them work pretty well, but I haven't found one that does everything. I'm aware of the biggest difficulty: iPad and iPhone not being able to show flash content. So I'm in the search of an idea or someone pointing me in the right direction. For example, is there any alternative to Flash to create flipping books? I know that in HTML 5 you can embed multimedia contents that should work with iPad and iPhone, but I don't know if you can do all the "cool" stuff that flash flipping books give you )like transitions, gestures, etc. Any idea would be hugely appreciated!

  I have the exact same requirement as yours from a client today. The following options do work on iPhone/iPad but: 1) http://page-flip.com/ > the content loads on the iPhone and you can slide from page to page but the rendering is so bad I can't view the text. So it's a sad deal breaker. 2) http://turn-page.com/online-interactive-publications/demo.php - This one works well on the iPhone but I am turned off by the fact that I have to get a quote for this and can't just buy and use it. 3) Another option is to build it in HTML5/CSS/etc. you can see what is achievable through this (turns out I can't post more than 2 links! search for 20 things I have learned.
