Is it possible to have graphic packs for Android?

Android: developer icon packs?

  • I need some icons for my application (generic things like "open", "save", "zoom", arrows, etc...). I will be using them in an on-screen toolbar, so I would rather not use the grey menu icons. I was hoping to find a reasonably priced, professional icon pack. However, all my efforts on google and iconfinder have been unsuccessful. Is anyone familiar with a good icon pack?

  • Answer:

There are a number of oldies but goodies: Fam Fam Fam (at http://www.famfamfam.com/): massive collection of icons (silk) in 16x16. Quite nice. Glyphish (at http://glyphish.com/): advertises for iphone/ipad, but works quite well for Android. If you pay up you can get the pro pack which is even more excellent. You'll want the Free Android Developer Icons (at http://www.glyfx.com/products/free_android.html and http://www.glyfx.com/products/free_android2.html). And a well-kept secret: if you look in your Android SDK at {SDK Directory}/platforms/{android version}/data/res/ there are a set of drawable folders with all the platform icons. You can almost always find an icon in there for most common actions. Those cover pretty much all the basics. Specialized things: you're on your own. Feed an artist!

You can use Fugue Icons Pack from http://p.yusukekamiyamane.com/ There are 3000 icons included in the pack, plus it includes the .psd files, so you can resize them as you like, of course it is appreciated that you mention the author of the icon pack.
