How do I create custom tabs on Facebook?

How to Create Custom Tabs on Facebook With Graphics

  • Answer:

The easiest way to get graphics onto a custom tab on your Facebook page is with an HTML iFrame application. One such application is Static iFrame Tab, which lets you embed text and graphics into a tab that you have full control over. There are other free apps on Facebook that do the same thing; if you choose a different iFrame app the process should be similar. Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions Go to Facebook.com, log in to your account and type "Static iFrame Tab" in the top search box. Click the "Static iFrame Tab" app listing from the drop-down menu. On the next screen, click the "Install Page Tab" button. Click the drop-down box and select the page you want to add the tab to and then click the "Add Static Iframe Tab" button. The application automatically installs a new tab on your Facebook page. Click the new "Welcome" tab on your page and then authorize the app by clicking the "Allow" button. On the next screen you'll see the "Tab Settings" editor. Copy and paste the following HTML code into the text area box: <img src="http://www.example.com/graphic.png"> Replace the URL with one that points directly to a graphic image on an external website. You can embed almost any image type, including BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG files. Click the "Save Settings" button when finished. The custom tab settings are updated and your graphic is now shown to users who click and view the tab.
