Which is better to use on a reviews website - schema.org or microformats or microdata?

All serve the same function from a semantic point of view... When building a new review website which do you feel is the best to go with in terms of future-proofing?

I would definitely go with http://schema.org as Google is behind it. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/introducing-schemaorg-search-engines.html I guess for that reason alone it would be more likely to survive going forward.

http://Schema.org is a vocabulary of microdata (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdata_(HTML)#Vocabularies), and so thus you can pretty much treat them as the same thing. There is no real advantage between either microformats or microdata, although I think http://schema.org microdata is perhaps a little easier. Google can use both for reviews (see https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/146645), and so it's up to you.
