Can a website use .org if it is not a non-profit?

Which is better to use on a reviews website - schema.org or microformats or microdata?

http://Schema.org is a vocabulary of microdata (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdata_(HTML)#Vocabularies), and so thus you can pretty much treat them as the same thing. There is no real advantage between either microformats or microdata, although I think http://schema.org microdata is perhapsĀ  a little easier. Google can use both for reviews (see https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/146645), and so it's up to you.

The fact that Google, Bing, Yahoo and Yandex got together to setup the schema.or vocabulary so it was standardized should make it the clear winner. I wrote an article on adding schema here: http://www.seoworks.com/04-how-to-seo/how-to-add-schema-markup/
