How can I get a soccer-related computer information systems job in New York?

Well, to get in with something existing, I'd look in the following places: ZogSports, NY social sports, and similar rec sports league etc. for small recreational stuff... not focused on soccer per se, but they offer soccer and other sports leagues, so it's a start in that sector. For the next tier up, I'd try checking out local high school leagues. Then a step up from there, minor (or major) college conferences based in and around NYC. The Big East is headquartered in NYC, I'm sure there's a number of other college conferences based in the area that aren't as big. Again, you might not be able to get directly into soccer, per se, but it's a foot in the door. Same with college athletic offices/departments. Finally, there is, of course, The New York Red Bulls (who are actually in New Jersey) as well as the upcoming New York City Football Club which is getting ready to debut in MLS soon.
