Answer:
Ubisoft, Pune is less likely to hire you are a game programmer directly. Just like any other software company, you need training. At Ubisoft they call it internship(usually 6 months). This internship results in full time game programmer position. Now to bag the internship at Ubisoft, you should be good at programming usually C/C++ or JAVA. Relevant internship(apart from one you are applying for) could be a great plus and your resume should reflect passion for videogames. Also, you should have a basic idea of videogames and computer science like, game engines, rendering pipeline, shaders, AI, physics, Math, Algorithms etc. Once you have all that. find a recruiter at LinkedIn and send him/her your profile. Alternatively you could send it you a Ubisoft employee and ask him/her to forward it to the HR team. Just wait for sometimes, if your resume is good enough. you'll get a call for the interview. Good Luck! :)

This sounds like calling out your favorite car or marvel character during childhood. No offense really buddy, but dont get fixated with a particular company but do get fixated with only what u love to do and really forces you to innovate. While your passion for game development looks fantastic, if you want to be a better game developer, look out for trends in the industry, follow these companies in linkedin, attend hackathons, dev meets, etc etc. All your questions and queries will be answered in this due process !! Best of luck !!

Hi, I'm a programmer at Ubisoft Pune and I'm here to show you the way to enlightenment ;) Millo Ollim's answer is pretty close to how things work in this industry. It's not a traditional IT services kind of job, and there's a steep learning curve. The only people who I'd suggest this job profile to, are people who care about nothing else but to make games and be the best C++ developers on the planet. You'll spend several years just honing your C++ chops; work will be tough, salary won't be that great. But your colleagues will all be awesome people, the work environment will be open and liberal, and if you enjoy the technical challenge you'll have a blast. If this interests you, the way forward is pretty straight-forward - Interns are hired in the Dec-Jan period. Make a game-demo by then. Even a 2d platformer is fine. Even an 8-bit game clone is fine. Just make something and let it show your brightest programming ideas. Read books on best practices and let it show in your work. Your internship will be 6 months with stipend and accommodation. If accepted, you'll be hired as a Junior Game Programmer. If not, you'll still go home a better programmer. Show off what you learnt at Ubisoft in other interviews and they'll hire you for sure. It's a win-win!
