If the Nepalese hate India a lot then why do they go to India for study and in hunt of jobs?

Nepal's economy was destroyed by india in 1990, after it imposed 13 months long economic blockade over Nepal, from which Nepal has never ever been truly able to recover. Before 1990, only a handful of Nepalese use to migrate to india. Secondly, its not as if Nepalese migrate only to india. Nepalese can be found all over the world. There are more than 4 million Nepalese in gulf countries as well. A lot of indians have migrated to Nepal. Even the indian embassy in Nepal released a report suggesting that there are more than 2 million indians in Nepal barring 5ooooo indians who have already taken up Nepalese citizenship. So, basically Nepalese migrate to india for the same reason as why other people around the world migrate to various nations. Moreover, it is extremely easy for indians to migrate to Nepal and Nepalese to  migrate to india, as there are no provision of Visa or other legal requirements. If indians don't like Nepalese migrating to india, india can abrogate this provision. Nepalese have openly, formally and even at the government level made it known to the indian government that Nepal doesn't like the provision of allowing indians the right to live in Nepal and wants the 1950 PFT between Nepal and india to be amended. India till date has not shown any interest to address Nepal government's request. Lastly, look no one is forcing india to allow easy access for Nepalese into india. In fact, the 1950 PFT clearly state any side can dismiss the treaty with 1 years notice. So, if india wants it can dismiss the treaty unilaterally. I wonder why india hasn't done this?? Can you explain... Finally, to answer your question: Nepalese go to india because they can and because they are allowed to. If india closes the border, Nepalese will go somewhere else. No big deal...

Until few years Nepal was ruled under dictatorship of King,Nepalese are brainwashed from childhood to hate India, The king feared democracy and always potrayed India as enemy who is trying to occupy them,  weak nations always envy strong ones,Nepalese are  jealous of India's strength and Democracy,           Nepal is a landlocked country, highly prone to earth quakes, its survival depends on mercy of India. People migrate to India for better life and education, lakhs of nepalese work as night watchmen, labour and smugglers in India, they are found in every part of india.

as a Indian i say question is wrong but i really wonder we dhotis are hated by nepalese brothers nepalese know only a fraction of indian residing along border what about east,west ,north east,central,south secondly all in our text book it is written that mounteverest is in NEPAL lord buddha was born in nepal thirdly we indians too didnot liked policy of past governments but i think we and you also will like MODI and his foreign policy fourth umm i think there i no point explaining anything and i think no matter what i say you will hate us but i surely will say one thing come stay in india especially in south or central or west or east you will know what iam saying

Nepalese don’t hate Indians a lot. Nepalese hate Indian government actions (meaning interference) a lot. There are Nepalese who hate Indians, but they are mostly misguided by media and heresy, because most of them have no personal experience of any wrong doing by Indians. At any rate, they are a minority.Why shouldn’t Nepalese come to India to study and for jobs? Nepal is a small country, with limited academic and career opportunities. India is a huge country with unlimited (in comparison to Nepal) academic and career opportunities. India has no visa requirements for Nepal. At least as far as studies are concerned, India is a cheaper alternative for Nepal than most other countries.

I was dying to answer this.So first of all I disagree to the answers given by everyone. Nepal’s economy was not destroyed by India it was destroyed by Nepal itself, stop blaming others.All the asnwers here are f***ing Racist.Now the answer,India from ancient time has been good in education. The history shows it all. It was ruled by some of great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi , J Nehru who focused on education purpose.On the other hand Nepal was ruled by stupid Kings and Ranas who didn’t want people of Nepal to be educated ,in fear that they might overthrow them after being educated, which really happened in real. So no education in Nepal.Current status of Nepal : Government is stupid and cannot focus on creating opportunities. There are good colleges and schools in Nepal but no opportunity.But India has both education and opportunity . So Nepalese come India seeking opportunity.Oh! Those who say nepal hate india and india hate nepal does not know about india nepal relationship. Being neighboring countries there will always be a tension (who does not have) but we always get over it. The main thing we are not understanding is how EU is maintaining indo country relations and we r not. Back to the question if nepal really hate india they would not be here.
