Answer:
Virtual Assistants can be used for a variety of different tasks. For example: Calendar Management: Making appointments, reservations, scheduling meetings, sending reminders. Email Management: Taking care of your correspondence, generating stick emails responses, flagging important emails, archiving old emails, getting rid of junk emails. Database Management: Adding contacts, doing data entry, document conversion (from PDF to Word or Excel), formatting. Party Planning: Sending eVites, making reservations, researching locations and catering services. Social Media: Looking after your Twitter, Facebook Fan Page, LinkedIn, Quora accounts. Transcribing: Doing transcriptions of YouTube videos, audio recordings, lectures, voice memos. Outbound Calling: Call clients/vendors. Photoshop: Reviving old photos, adjusting color/exposure, removing minor elements. Blog/Website Management: Writing/suggesting new posts for your blog, managing your website, website chat receptionist. Internet Marketing: SEO, SEM, SMO, SMM including link building, social blogging, social promotion and onsite optimization. As you can tell, the possibilities are limitless. One should make a list of all the tasks that s/he would like to delegate to a VA and then research the best fit for that kind of work.

I have used virtua assistances for a wide range of tasks. Make sure your VA can help you with the tasks you need done. Some VA's are better at one thing then another. Here are a few ways VA's have helped me. creating images for social media creating blog content staying on top of social media tracking stats finding new sources of content to curate updating my curated content sources to remove ones that no longer exisit, or update their records if their urls, etc have changed loading blog posts into my websites managing comments and deleteing spam fixing / updating older content on the site

First of all before you move forward with process of Outsourcing any task, Think Elimination! Get rid of all work that you or even a Virtual Assistant don't have to do in the first place. Then next take stock of all the income producing activities and focus on those, delegate the rest of what is left to your Virtual Assistants. If you want to kick it up a notch, once you have finished with the above steps you can then start delegating some of your income producing activities to your VAs such as lead generation for instance. This way they can pay for themselves. The key to your success is to create teachable systems for handling your various business tasks. Invest the time upfront to build the system and reap the ROI once you are now freed up to focus on Why You Love your business. I interview other successful Entrepreneurs on how they Outsource their business tasks and make use of Virtual Assistants in their business, feel free to check out the free Videos on my blog http://www.HireYourVirtualAssistant.com/blog

Caveat emptor: I own a virtual assistant company, http://www.worktango.com, so I'm biased. :) What we try to do is be 100% honest about what types of things we're stellar at and what types of things require a specialist. We're snobs about getting things done the right way, the first time. So, if someone comes to us hoping to get help with search engine optimization (SEO), for instance, we refer our clients to partners (and then often help our clients project manage the relationship with that partner). We do have some ability in areas like SEO, but we feel it's our responsibility to get the best results for our clients, not take every dollar they are willing to spend with us. In the case of SEO, for instance, we refer people to http://www.stonetemple.com. The gap between our capabilities and the capabilities of Eric Enge, who's the lead author on the most popular SEO book of all time, The Art of SEO, and his team is like the gap between here and the moon. In the end, it really depends on how particular you are about quality. Continuing with the search engine optimization example, If you just need to get someone to do it better than you can yourself, a VA will fit the bill. But the value to your company of things like SEO services increases exponentially in relation to the skill, experience, and passion of the person or consultancy taking care of it for you.

A virtual assistant or virtual receptionist can do many things for you on a daily basis. If you company is in need of a strong customer service support, the help of a virtual assistant is most valuable. A virtual receptionist can help to answer queries, take note of customer complaints, book appointments, and give technical advice to customers if they are trained to do so. You can never underestimate the advantages of having a virtual receptionist for your business. You will know more about this by scanning some pages of http://www.easyinbound.com.au/virtual-receptionist-assistant.

If your business does not have room to accommodate an physical assistant, a virtual assistant or virtual worker can perform any tasks that don't require their presence. For instance, if you need your files organized, then you may need a local person to do that task. Your virtual assistant can even get your dry cleaning delivered to your door, order gifts and flowers for your clients, and take care of paying your bills. If you are a consultant, coach, speaker, or author, you would want to find a virtual assistant that specializes in your industry. They can help you identify the tasks you are comfortable delegating to them on a regular basis and hold you accountable to do so. Plus, because you are paying an hourly, retainer-based fee, you will find that you won't have to worry about the daily tasks. Just be sure you give your VA a deadline to get the work done and let it go. Then check in weekly to keep in touch and up to date.
