What should I do to get noticed by recruiters/HR in job portals and networking websites?

  • I've been working as a Test Engineer in a software startup in Chennai for 1.5 years and looking for a job switch, preferably to Delhi/NCR. I look for open positions in job portals and networking websites and apply, but haven't got a single call till date. What else should I do?

    Networking websites, specially Linkedin, are different from Job portals. In Linkedin you have to have a robust profiles, follow right companies and people, join right groups and to have a highly engagement in debates, don´t forget to ask and give help. Head hunters pay attention all above mentioned.

2 things that I want to share that happened with me too. 1. If you want to relocate to delhi NCR, put this this on the top of your RESUME, as HR thinks u must have applied just for Fun to this place. 2. If you are from testing field that I want to tell that there are not that much good opportunities in delhi side. better see in bangalore and pune. I you complete 2 years in testing then you are eligible to apply in mnc like Tech mahindra, tcs, accenture etc.
