What are the jobs after BSc in biochemistry?

Will below 50% marks in BSC pose a hindrance for SAP jobs?

  • Hi. I am a BSC in CS graduate with a percentile slightly below 50%. I plan to pursue SAP ABAP certification. Can anyone shed some light on whether the below 50% marks in BSC will be a hindrance in getting a job in a top company? I will be looking for jobs in India. Thanks in advance for your answers!

  • Answer:

No, as long as you have the certification and you know what you are doing AND you do not lie on your resume, no one should care about your degree percentile. The best part about working in a highly skilled industry, such as SAP ABAP development, is that you are known for what you know rather than from where you have attained your degree from. Sure, you are going to face some problems initially, like getting through the initial screening process, but if that company rejects you solely on your degree percentage, chances are its not a good technology place to work at. Good luck :)

Certain top companies do have the cut off of 50%, so u may not be selected in them. The %age factor goes out of picture with some experience in hand, say 3-5 yrs, but certainly not when u r a fresher. SAP certification may give u some preference, but certainly not the job, as there are lot of people with ABAP skills in the market. U may join the start ups or companies that don`t have such HR policies.
