Which university in Germany should I apply for M.Sc (Computer Science?

Which is better for postgraduate degree if one's goal is to complete a PhD in the future in the area of artificial intelligence: an MSc in artificial intelligence from the University of Southampton, or an MS in computer science and engineering from the University of Michigan?

  • Answer:

AI is an inter-disciplinary subject, drawing on Statistical Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Computer Programming, Logic, Computer Vision, and also Neurology, Psychology, etc. If you already have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, then no point in doing a Masters degree in Computer Science, but go directly to MSC in AI at University of Southampton and continue towards PhD in your chosen sub-title of AIIMS.  That way you will learn more in AI and finish your PhD much earlier.
