How do I fill online choices in JEE main 2014 counselling,What should be the order of NITs (as order is very imp I have heard) if I want to take CSE and I am expecting AIR below 3000 in JEE main?

I have heard that many students who have got good AIR fail to get admission in good NIT because of their wrong online choice filling during counselling. So, please tell me how should I fill choices online and what should be the order if I am expecting a rank below 3000.

Shubham Chopra's order is THE order. Don't deviate from it especially for CSE. However I also suggest you to consider taking up IT branch in one of the top NIT's instead of CSE in the lower ones. Being a student of NITK, I have observed that there is not MUCH difference (only subtle ones) between the two. Dig a bit deeper to find out the difference. Consider this. Cause IT in Surathkal is very good. All the best!

Someone , more SMART than me will tell you the answer, the order of NIT's. But, one thing i must tell you, counselling is the most important process, don't listen to any friend,saying hopeless things about counselling, just take care of the counselling schedule.Bad Counselling can make an IITIAN a NITIAN, and a NITIAN a G.N.E.ian . So be serious.

NIT JAIPUR 6 NIT NAGPUR Getting cse in top 3 nits will be tough for you with a rank around 3k . But you will definitely get cse in your home state nit . Well nit Nagpur is a good option for u .last year closing rank for nit Nagpur was around 5k for other state quota . And online filling of choices start after you get your jee mains rank .
