How can I lift a block to add friends on Facebook?

As a dance teacher, I have personal contact with a lot of people and because we're teaching in 3 countries (near some universities) I have friends of 15+ nationalities. I post pictures, invites to parties and lessons and also movie clips of parties. Having a FaceBook Page doesn't work because dancers want to connect to dancers in person, not to the legal entities (companies) so I have been blocked for 4 days early September 2011 because I invited too many people. Here is the issue: I want to connect to people that like the stuff I post because they might also be dancers (similar interest) and I don't mind if they refuse me. My friend list is shielded and friends are categorized to avoid spamming people that only follow my posts as opposed to students. So I will likely have added too many people in a short time span but the ban should be lifted for 10 days now and I still cannot add people! I ticked the option to delete pending requests so that number should be zero. What is happening? Facebook doesn't disclose any helpful information nor lists of pending requests or info on time left for the ban ... and as I started new classes 2 weeks ago I want to connect to my new students!!
Answer:

In this case you can't lift the ban and you shouldn't wait because no one will know when the ban is removed. I suggest you write people to add you, I'm sure you can still receive incoming friend requests.
