How to find effective book agent?

How do I find an agent to introduce my book to movie companies?

  • My book is coming out in March and I've been told it would make a great movie but I know nothing about the movie business. I'm hoping to find an agent to help me through the process of turning it into a movie.

  • Answer:

If you have a  literary agent, they should also know the appropriate people to set you up with, or if they are big enough, might have their own in house people.

The best way to a movie deal is through your publisher. It's very much to their advantage for your book to get a deal and if a movie gets made, that means thousands of extra copies sold.

I found a partner that specialized in graphic designs through this site (http://www.rockthepost.com/posts/view/405/Jumpstart-a-New-Creativity) and I know they have agents as well. "TalentExpo365 is an online portal which allows your inner creative genius to showcase its full potential to the right target audience 24/7.  We welcome everyone to the wondrous world of fame and fortune, glamour and recognition." So if you have a great idea like introducing a book to movie, then try the site. Good luck

I would suggest going to LA and setting up a meeting with a few of the better known firms. That would be the place to start, unless your book is an amazing bestseller, then agents would come to you.
