How to disable a sharepoint 2010 list column through sharepoint designer?

How can I create and publish dashboard-type reports in SharePoint 2007, using data within a SharePoint 2007 list without being competent in scripting or coding?

  • I have data in a SharePoint list which is captured on a daily basis. I usually produce a month end report in excel (pivot table) which aggregates the data for information purposes. I need a solution which enables me to automatically and dynamically aggregate the data in the list and present it as a custom web part or Dashboard on the same SharePoint site.

  • Answer:

Click the following link to try the free tool to export version history for SharePoint Lists: http://sharepointversionhistory.com You can then upload the result from this tool into Excel or Access to aggregate the data.  Once you have the result, paste it into another Excel Sheet or Access Table linked directly to the 'other' List in your SharePoint site.  I am more of an Access guy, but with a little VBA you could massage the data in Access and then append the result to the SharePoint List fairly easily.

You have to buy a third party tool. The web parts in SharePoint itself are not really good enough to have a dashboard.
