What jobs have a lot of free time and are paid decently well?

Why don't you just become a remote-based or contractor-based software developer. Then you can visit wherever you like without being too-tied down to a single office. Obviously you'll need to be strategic about it (you can't exactly afford to live in hotel rooms every day). But if you're really/truly looking to escape the 8-5 work-week, you'll need to create a business/service/app that fulfills a need/want and run it in a way that requires little maintenance on your part. This usually requires a large initial upfront investment (usually in the form of hours) with no guarantee of success.

Govt jobs. ..Dude you'll have all have all the free time you require (may be even more) doesn't matter if your at office or home. And the pay is obviously good along with the extra facilities.
