Is there a Google Earth Alert which will allow me to place a point and get alerted when the satallite photo changes?

Feature idea for Google. It seems like this would be a great way to use Google Alerts and Google earth together. Many people would want to see the newly updated map of their home or favorite places.

There is a blog that posts when data for an area is being updated: http://www.gearthblog.com/ The client itself does not do so because there is no data field in the imagery that it is loading that says if it is a recent update. The imagery just has the data of: geolocation, capture date, zoom level.
